Visit to a local Bakery
Arrive to Adrogue, a town buried deep in the Argentine culture. We start our journey by walking to a local bakery for a comprehensive lesson of traditional Argentine pastries and breads. See the variety of facturas, and learn the different styles and origins.
Visit to a local Butcher shop
Curious to know what you can find at a local butcher shop? We also make a stop at a local butcher’s shop to learn the various cuts of meat in Argentina.
Visit to an outdoor Market
We continue walking to an outdoor market, a colorful food market where locals gathers for fresh priduce. For a fantastic source of insider’s information, Teresita will go over the names of the different fruits, vegetables, fish, poultry, meat cuts, and various South American spices throughout the fair. Peak into the Argentine culture and watch what goes on at this very traditional market. Stands go for several blocks and the area is closed to traffic.
The whole scenery is perfect for those who appreciate food and culture. You will learn about the different colorful fruits, vegetables, and see a variety of stands displaying all kind of spices and herbs. This market is a true reflection of the Argentine culture.
*Please note the food market is not a fancy market, it is still unspoiled by the ravages of mass tourism as opposed to food markets you can find in downtown Buenos Aires. It is a place where vendors still sell produce drown in the are. You won’t find rows of stands selling French cheese or Italian olive oil. Instead, you will experience a real Argentinean town market.
Empanada Recipe Demo
Back to Teresita’s home for a cooking class demonstration of her famous beef picadillo empanadas. Get a taste of what it feels like to prepare a traditional in a warm and casual atmosphere at Teresita’s kitchen overlooking a lush tropical garden. Teresita will present an overview of her secret recipe while she shows the group how to prepare them. Those who want to get into the action, they are welcome to join in the empanada filling. Those who want to relax, they can start sipping on wonderful wine!

Regroup around the table for a Wine Tasting Lunch were we blend premium Argentine wines, fine regional dishes and local culture into an educational and fun experience. Whether you’re a novice or long-time aficionado, Teresita will deepen your appreciation for wine and food pairing.
All of the dishes are prepared by Teresita using the finest ingredients, mostly organic and locally farm-sourced.
